Equipment - please bring with you |

General equipment:
- sleeping bag; blankets are provided
- thermal camping mat (in winter)
- pocket torch or head torch
- lighter (to burn toilet paper)
- bag for your clothes etc.; no suitcases or rucksacks
with metal bracing, please
- small backpack for during the day
- light, comfortable shoes for walking (not walking
boots)
- comfortable sandals
- thermos, if you don’t want to drink warm water out of
the plastic bottles - optional
- sunglasses
- means of protecting your camera (if you bring one)
against the sand!
Hygiene and medicine (in addition
to your standard washbag):
- toilet roll
- face wipes
- soap
- suncream and sun protection for your lips, depending on
your skin type; the sun’s intensity corresponds to that in the mountains
or on the beach
- personal medication
- the following medicines could prove useful: charcoal
tablets (to combat upset stomachs), Immodium (anti-diarrhea) and Motilium
(anti-nausea), an analgesic like Ibuprofen, eye-drops, bite-cream.

Clothes
- roomy, long-sleeved comfortable clothes, like cotton
trousers and shirts; the dry climate means clothes stay fresh for longer,
so you don’t need to bring many clothes; bare arms and legs are to be
avoided since they speed up dehydration and, in the case of women, in
order to show respect to local culture
- thermal underwear (perfect for evenings and to sleep
in) - optional
- comfortable pyjamas
- scarf
- warm clothes for the evenings
- windproof jacket
