...between sand and stars, silence... From September to May, Caravane Sarab organises desert tours in the “Big South” of Morocco. Lahsen Khouya and his team travel with you through the richly varied desert landscapes with care, respect and a spirit of openness. Groups, families and solo travellers are all welcome to spend several days, or even just one, in this region and to get to know its fascinating atmosphere and changing moods. Our values include respect for nature, economy of resources, animal welfare and mutual respect between people. Likewise, colleagues, friends and family are appreciated for their work and fairly paid accordingly.Travel in the desert is principally on foot or on the back of one of the camels which accompany you throughout your whole journey, carrying food, clothes and equipment. This mode of transport has an ancient tradition; nevertheless, a trip by 4x4 is also possible. |
